This week I will be catching up on all the stuff I've gotten since I stopped blogging. Currently, I have some makeup, a couple trips to the thrift store, and a few things I've made to show all of you. I'm hoping to only do that this week. Below are a skirt and pair of pants I made.
Pictured are a circle skirt and pair of wide leg pants. Both are made from a stretch jersey knit.
Can I just say how awesome this fabric is? I went to look at fabric with my mom (she's shopping for her bathroom) at this ginormous fabric store. I did not know so much fabric existed in the world. I died as soon as I walked in. Both were pretty simple to make, especially with a serger (since this is a stretchy fabric). You could make both by hand, but it would just take significantly longer. For instructions on the skirt click here, and for the pants click here. The skirt is especially easy since all you have to do is cut it out, sew in the waistband, and hem it.
Side note. I started another dance class yesterday. I have a month of ballet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6-9. I'm surprisingly not that sore today, but we were working on technique more than anything yesterday. I look forward to seeing how I improve.

Wow I can't believe you made these! Congrats!! I've been into sewing lately and have made some dress sets and a few dresses/ skirts. Being a petite girl, making my own clothes really helps me get clothes that fit. And being made myself, I can make them exactly how I want them to look! Keep on sewing girl:)
ReplyDeleteGood luck on ballet! It is such a beautiful form of dance!
Thank you for your comment over at my blog. Your words really do mean a lot!
