For the past three years, I've been a member of the Atlanta Young Singers of Callenwolde. I cannot describe the amazing things I have experienced with this choir. I have made so many great friends, and I have become a much better musician through them. We had our final Youth Chorale (the high school part of the choir) recital last night. I figured since I was absent for Memorial Day (My family spent most of the day picking strawberries and making jam.), I'd share my solo that I did for the recital.
I'm a 20-year-old Musical Theatre major currently living in Georgia. I aspire to live in a major city and go after my dreams. Right now, what those dreams are is unclear, but I'm getting there. My style is an outward expression of who I am and how I'm feeling.

Graduation
I'm so behind. I'm sorry you guys. I'm just absolutely exhausted right now. I am doing something a little special though. You'll see ;) I didn't get a ton of chords, so don't judge me please. I really liked our Salutatorian's speech though. It was about how our generation has done things for awards and not because we want to do them. One thing that really struck me was "awards should be a result of your efforts, not the reason for them." It was a thoughtful moment for me.
I made this headband myself. It's inspired by Girl with the Flower . She has the most awesome headbands that she sells, but none were all white for my graduation. From left to right it's my sister Caroline, myself, and my cousins John and James.

50 Shades of Red
As you can see by the title, something's going on with red. Well...I'm a redhead now! Whoo! I've been wanting to go red for a while, and I figured graduation from high school was a good time. I'm sorry I haven't posted the past few days, and that this is a short post. But I promise I will try to do something special on Friday (tomorrow I graduate!) to make it up.

Boho Day
I took my third AP exam today. Whew! And I still have two more! I'm so close to being done with high school. After my AP exams, I'm done. I have to keep this short because my mom ran to Tennessee today to visit my grandmother, and she took the camera with her. My dad's not home to teach me how to use the fancy camera. Rawr. Please excuse the quality of the photos because I ended up using an old camera. I have some prom pictures I might post later this week.

AP Exams!
I had my first AP exam yesterday and my first afternoon one (ever) today. Well it started almost an hour late and the weather has been none to kind for a blogger since I got home. Fingers crossed that it won't rain tomorrow for prom! I seriously hope the weather will let me get back on track next week!

Playing with Volume
That awkward moment when the missing camera is in your mom's car under some of her stuff. Oh boy. I'm just not going to go there. Today I decided to do a flowy blouse on top of a fuller skirt with some wedges. I wanted to try playing with volume. I have been so comfortable today! It's been amazing. My Music Theory teacher is awesome and decided we'd just go hang out outside for the last 30 minutes of class since it was so nice and we'd done everything we needed to do. We had block scheduling, so we'd already been there for an hour and a half.

Lost Camera
So, um, this is awkward. Well it seems that my family left the camera that we normally use at my aunt's house this weekend. We probably won't get it back until I graduate. I'll try to learn how to use my dad's fancy shmancy camera by tomorrow. At least enough to make a new post. Sorry about getting behind you guys!

Update
Hey guys! I will be posting tomorrow because I can't find the camera and the weather is kind of crappy to take pictures today. I promise I'll post tomorrow!

Senior Week: Toga Day
Every year we have toga day at my school. It's always really interesting to see what bed sheet people choose to wear. You see everything from normal white sheets like me (we didn't have anything else) to sparkly fabric to comic book character sheets. We have to wear t-shirts underneath though too keep dress code. I wish they were a little more lenient, but apparently not.

Senior Week: Nail Post
So today is supposed to be Career day, but I spent all day in some spiky party shoes, and I got home and almost literally ripped off my clothes in favor of some yoga pants. Wearing those shoes and a floor length dress today was not a smart decision, I now realize. I did my nails yesterday, so I figured I would treat you with that.
Sorry it's a little blurry and for the black panel. I don't know why blogger keeps doing that to some of my pictures. The blue nail polish is more of a greenish turquoise in real life and it's from Drew Barrymore's Flower line at Wal-Mart. It's amazing! I highly recommend it. You really don't need to apply more than one coat and it doesn't chip for a while. The gray is an e.l.f. color.
